I look forward to seeing you on the upcoming 6th of January and hope you will not leave too many pieces of charcoal in my shoes or beneath my Christmas tree, because this year, 2014, I honestly believe that I have been a very good boy, I promise; hence, I expect you to reward me with lots of beautiful presents instead. I insightfully know that you are not going to let me down.

I have worked really hard all through the year and have grown both as a person and a professional. I can feel that I am slightly more mature―only slightly―, as well as a better teacher and a translator. I have learnt so much and, at the end of the day, I am thankful for all the experiences that I have gone through. In spite of some difficult moments, 2014 has been gorgeous and I have been doing brilliantly all through the year; as a consequence, complaining would be unfair. I would not dare to do it. I actually love my job and feel accomplished.
Despite so many years of economic recession, and Feijóo's harmful nationalisation of the English language―an authentic terrorist attack against the private sector―that has forced hundreds of philologists to migrate, I feel fortunate that ever since I got my long degree in English Philology I have worked as an English teacher and a linguist. I am not earning as much income as I would like to and the tax office does not help me save some money, since taxes are abusive for freelancers in Spain, especially since the Popular Party is in office; yet I am not out of work, because, some months ago, I resolved to become my own company, nor have I been forced to leave the country, unlike hundreds of my fellow countrymen, who unfortunately are not as lucky as I am.
Dear Magic Kings, in 2015, I am asking you for the strength and stamina of an ox, both at a mental and physical level, so that I can keep working hard all through the following year. Bring costumers to me. Put all my advertisements on their way so that they can come across them and ask for my services. I need a stroke of luck. Please, make it happen.

Furthermore, at a spiritual level, I am asking you for inner peace and spiritual growth and, at a physical level, I am asking you for good sex with pretty guys and hot men of all races and backgrounds. That is what my soul wishes and that is what my body is hungering for. What else can I wish? Prosperity, successfulness, accomplishment, inspiration, especially for creating new pieces of artwork, which I really enjoy painting; creativity, vitality, freedom, wisdom, good fortune and Melanie C's sixth solo album, which is going to be way better than 'Northern Star' or 'The Sea'. I am pretty sure of that.
Finally, I beg you to keep undesirable people out of my way in 2015 since I am pretty fed up with coming across envious and hateful people. They are vampires that suck my vital energy and poison my positivity. They cannot teach me anything and I personally have nothing to learn from them. I would rather meet interesting and charismatic people, individuals from whom I can learn something, both in person and through readings.
